{Glycyrrhiza glabra}

General: A perennial legume native to southern Europe and parts of Asia, most licorice today is cultivated to add flavor to tobacco cigarettes. It is also widely used to flavor candy and as a cough suppressant.  

Skin Benefits: A known anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory, glycyrrhizin, a licorice component, is calming and can support eczema treatment. We use its calming properties in our Willow Bark & Licorice Pore Refining Serum.
