Abhyanga is unlike any other form of massage. Incredibly grounding, its effect lingers for days, as it brings balance to the body’s subtle energies. Your practitioner will begin with a consultation to determine your dosha, or mind-body type and choose an authentic Ayurvedic herbal oil to help balance your dosha during the massage. This is not deep tissue work - the light, feathery strokes along the body's energy channels helps things move, stimulating circulation and creating a detoxifying effect similar to lymphatic drainage.
